“Just be strong” they say,

Don’t give up, wipe your tears away.

“Just be strong” they said,

Get those negative thoughts out of your head.

“Just be strong” they say,

“I am sure it’ll be okay”.

In my head.. “Just be strong” I hear,

Reminiscing on those pep-talks in the mirror.

“Just be strong” they tell me,

“Don’t question it, it’s your destiny”.

“Just be strong” they keep saying,

So I keep trying, and  I keep praying.

“Just be strong” they say,

As if I have a choice at the end of the day.

I try to remember when everything feels so wrong!

To look back on what they said and… Just… be strong.
